Strategic Background of Videographer Cum Video Editor
- Videographers and Video Editors must have an in-depth understanding of the organization needs and goals, as well as the technical skills necessary to collect and edit high-quality video footage. S/he must keep up with the latest video production trends and technologies, such as new camera equipment and editing software.
- Videographers cum Video Editors must be able to work creatively within a certain budget, timeframe, and requirements of the project, as well as be adaptive and open to client changes and comments.
Duties and Responsibilities of Videographer Cum Video Editor
- Determine the project's criteria and objectives in collaboration with organization and other creative specialists. Install and operate camera, lighting, and sound equipment.
- Capture and record high-quality video footage of interviews, events, and situations. Edit and organize film to convey an appealing story or send a clear message.
- Ensure that all footage is properly backed up and securely preserved. Make certain that all content is completed on schedule and within budget.
- Must be comfortable for frequent travel.
- Examine and choose the best footage to include in the final video result, using sophisticated software, edit film to produce a cohesive and capturing story or message.
- S/he must have knowledge of improving the final output, add and modify audio, music, and sound effects and to improve the appearance and feel of the video, use color correction and other visual effects.
- Manage many projects at the same time while meeting tight deadlines and make sure that all content is completed on schedule and within budget.
- Effectively communicate with organization and team members to ensure that the requirements and expectations are satisfied.
Education, professional experience, technical skills
- No specific educational requirement but relevant coursework is required: film theory, video editing, scriptwriting, lighting, camera techniques, and sound design.
- Experience working with a variety of camera, lighting, and sound equipment is desired.
- 1 years of experience in Videography Cum Video Editor.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.
- Understanding of various camera types, lenses, and lighting equipment, as well as video file formats and compression strategies.
- Understanding of color correction, audio mixing, and visual effects.
- Proficiency in using audio and sound equipment as well as knowledge of motion graphics and animation software.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during the production process.
- Familiarity with different social media platforms and video requirements.
